In the Details - A Coco Chanel Inspired Bridal Shower

This past weekend, I hosted my sister's bridal shower. It was a Coco CHANEL themed party. Being a graphic designer has its benefits when it comes to these types of events. We pay a considerable amount of time in the details, as shown.

For the decor, I purchased large glass jars from Michael's and filled each of them with wafer cookies, using colors that matched the theme. Black/white ribbon, roses, champagne bottles, a framed photo of Coco Chanel adorned with pearls, an Eiffel Tower, perfume bottles, and a framed photo of the soon to be Mr. & Mrs. accented the stark-white clothed buffet table.

The invitation design mimics CHANEL perfume packaging, easily noticeable to those that recognize the brand. I also designed matching name tags for the champagne flutes which had 2 purposes - so that the guests wouldn't lose their glassware and so that everyone would remember each other's names.

The star of the day was the CHANEL cake, designed by talented friend Marcia. A light pink CHANEL Classic Handbag with gold hardware. You can see more of her cake designs here.

The shower was a great success and couldn't have gone any better. Thank you, to everyone that helped me put it together!
